Tell PODrop which Excel columns are your Vendor, PO#, Item, Description, and Qty. Save the profile. You only do this once.
PODrop reads your Excel workbooks and creates QuickBooks Desktop Purchase Orders in one batch run — auto-creating any missing vendors, items, and accounts along the way. No re-keying. No missing-record errors.
$99 one-time · No subscription · Free trial writes real POs to your own QuickBooks
QuickBooks Desktop has no real way to import a Purchase Order from Excel — Intuit's own support tells you to buy a third-party tool. So a bookkeeper retypes the same vendor, item, and quantity data, batch after batch, 30–90 minutes at a time. Every typo is a wrong PO. Every new item is a manual setup step.
Tell PODrop which Excel columns are your Vendor, PO#, Item, Description, and Qty. Save the profile. You only do this once.
Drop one or many Excel files into the Input folder. One workbook becomes one Purchase Order; each row becomes a line item.
It connects to QuickBooks Desktop, creates any missing vendors or items, writes the PO, and files the workbook into Archive. Failures go to Review with a plain-English log.
New item not in QuickBooks yet? PODrop creates it as a properly-parented inventory subitem, with the right accounts — instead of failing the whole import.
Drop in a whole folder of workbooks and clear them in one run. PODrop processes every file, then sorts each into Archive (posted) or Review (needs a look) — no database to configure.
Preview exactly what will post to QuickBooks before anything is written. Nothing touches your company file until you say so.
A processing ledger remembers what it has already posted, so re-running a file won't create a duplicate PO.
Successful files move to Archive by date. Failures move to Review with an error file that tells you exactly what to fix.
PODrop talks to QuickBooks Desktop on your own machine. Your financial data never leaves your network.
The big importers do everything — that's why they cost $125–$325 a year and take an afternoon to set up. PODrop does one thing brilliantly.
